When Angus and Emma came to meet us they had an idea that they wanted to sell some of Angus’s watercolours as prints. They had no idea what the process entailed or where to start. Fortunately we at First Class Web Design have built up quite an experience in this field and were immediately able to help guide them through each stage.
As Angus is a great illustrator it seemed natural that the design of his website should be hand drawn. This allowed him to let his creative juices flow and create a web design that was completely unique to him. We then took the drawings and with a little Photoshop ‘cut and shunt’ magic, transformed these raw drawings into a workable website layout. After many revisions we finally had a final version that everyone loved.
The next phase involved taking each element of the design and converting it into a proper working e-commerce site. This was tricky but after a few long days and nights the initial framework was ready to test and review. This carried on for a week or so to tweak the design and usability – especially over different devices and platforms – so that the website was completely usable on iPads, iPhones, tablets, Android phones etc. Something we are especially proud of.
So finally we launched the site and have had some great feedback from both Angus and Emma and also quite a few others who have happened to come by the site. Looking forward to working with them again soon to add more prints and products to their range.
